We specialise in geological and geomechanical investigations in the following areas:

Geological and geomechanical investigations for the construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads and other infrastructure (roads, tunnels, viaducts, railways, gas pipelines)

Geological and geomechanical investigations for the construction of energy facilities (hydroelectric power plants, nuclear power plants, wind power plants, thermal power plants)

Geological and geomechanical investigations for the construction of various high-rise buildings (personal, multi-residential and commercial)

Geological and geomechanical investigations for the rehabilitation and prevention of natural disasters (landslides, rockfalls, landslips)

Production of engineering geological and hydrogeological maps

Geological supervision of the construction, reconstruction and rehabilitation of infrastructure (roads, tunnels, viaducts, railways, gas pipelines, power lines)

In recent years, members of the Department of Engineering Geology and Geomechanics have been involved as lead experts or team members in a number of challenging projects:

 

The department has seven professionals: two PhDs (one in geomechanics), three MSc in engineering geology and three BSc in geology (M.Eng.). Seven of them have passed the professional examination under the Construction Act.
