The construction of the second, eastern tube of the Karavanke Tunnel, with a total length of 7948 m, represents an important further step towards eliminating the bottleneck in road transport between Slovenia and Austria.
The project will contribute to the development of an integrated road network and improve the direct connection between the two TEN-T core network corridors.
IRGO Consulting d.o.o. and IRGO are involved in the project as part of the geological and geotechnical monitoring during the construction of the eastern tube of the Karavanke tunnel.
